Carex heteroneura var. brevisquama

Distribution: Circumboreal.
Habitat: Alpine.
Discussion: Carex heteroneura is a synonym of C. atrata L., which is a common
species of circumboreal distribution and reported to be good livestock
forage (Cronquist et al. 1977). Not rare.
