Description
This is a relatively common tall grass prairie species, synonymous with Acacia angustissima var. hirta, a species with a range of Missouri, Kansas, south to Texas, Mexico and central America, and disjunct east to Florida. New Mexico is on the periphery of this species' range, but otherwise it is relatively widespread and common.
