Description
Annual; stems glabrous, climbing with simple or branched tendrils; leaves bright green, usually 3-7 foliate; staminate flowers in peduncled clusters; flowering in September and October.
Distribution
In New Mexico this species has been recorded in Hidalgo County. However, it is very wide spread in the southwestern and southcentral U.S. from Kansas to Louisiana and Texas; southern Arizona and into Northern Mexico.
Habitat
Streams, often in rocky areas; 4,000-5,000 feet.
