This plant occurs in southeastern Arizona (Gila, Greenlee, Cochise, Santa Cruz, and Pima counties), southwestern New Mexico (Catron and Grant counties), and northern Mexico. It is apparently fairly common within its range in Arizona because it is not tracked as rare by the Arizona Heritage Data Management System.
