This plant occurs in Utah, New Mexico, Texas, and Oklahoma. It is widespread across west-central and east-central New Mexico, southward to extreme western Texas along the Rio Grande, and east to the High Plains of west Texas and extreme southwestern Oklahoma. It is not tracked as a rare Texas plant by the Texas Conservation Data Center.
