Called to our attention for possible addition to the rare list in an E-mail by Bob Sivinski on October 12, 2001. A subsequent E-mail by david Ferguson on November 27, 2001, indicated that var. intermedia is taxonomically doubtful and even if a good variety, it would have too great a range to be considered rare.
