Remarks
This name is a synonym of Salvia farinacea, which occurs in southern New Mexico, southwestern Oklahoma, and western Texas as far east as the Hill Country. This plant is widely cultivated, which may explain disjunct occurrences reported for Connecticut, Ohio, Florida, and Louisiana.
